WebJan 13, 2016 · Not true I'm afraid, the E90's and E60s with the N52 engine all have starter issues too, and they have a different GND strap arrangement. The best DIYs and photos online are from those vehicles. The voltage should be no greater than .05 volts under load. If you find a point where voltage is present, then you need to add a bonding strap or find a new grounding point so no voltage is present at any of the grounding points.

WebMay 22, 2024 · 1. Replaced Battery, checked voltage at battery, jumper terminal, starter, and alternator 12.3 across all. 2. Checked CAS relay in glove box, relay is good. 3. Check battery terminal fuse, seems to be intact and good. 4. Replaced starter, checked all voltage again 12.3 across the board.

Also you should slow charge the battery overnight and see if the car will start in the morning. If you do get it running check the voltage again across the battery terminals. With the car running the voltage should read over 14 volts.
