I use "Start Me Up", an alternate start mod, to start at a random location (with no gear or weapons of course, more interesting that way). But I keep dying. No, not immediatley, as you might think. WebThe two most important perks for permadeath IMO are Chemist and Lone Wanderer. Chemist keeps things like bufftats and psychobuff active for longer, and it also allows you to craft poisoned caltrops for 5 steel apiece. Poisoned Caltrops sell for a lot of money, and you can buy really high end gear early in the game with them.
